FOOTBALL
Football, also known as soccer in some parts of the world, is a popular sport played by teams of 11 players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting the ball into the opposing team’s net, while also defending your own net.
Football is typically played on a large rectangular field with goals at each end. The game is divided into two halves, with each team trying to outscore their opponent within a specified time. Players use their feet, as well as other parts of their body, to control, pass, and shoot the ball. However, goalkeepers are allowed to use their hands within their own penalty area.
Teams work together to advance the ball towards the opposing goal through passes, dribbling, and strategic movement. They must also defend their own goal by intercepting passes, tackling opponents, and blocking shots. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins.
Football requires a combination of skills such as agility, speed, coordination, and teamwork. It is a highly popular and widely followed sport around the world, with professional leagues, international competitions, and enthusiastic fan bases supporting their favorite teams. The rules of football are governed by organizations such as FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association).
